Peek-A-Boo St. Patrick’s Day Cake

This is a cute, festive cake to celebrate the St. Patrick’s Day holiday. Not only is this cake visually appealing, but it is a great dessert for those celebrating on St. Patrick’s Day. With a cake like this the baker also gets a chance to showcase their great baking skills. Try it out and enjoy a festive treat this holiday!

Ingredients

1 Box of white cake mix

1 Box food coloring

1 resealable plastic bag

1 Box of chocolate cake mix

Buttercream frosting

Add sprinkles.(If you want)

Directions

1.Make a white cake mix batter (according to package instructions). Divide batter into 5 bowls and add food color of your choice

2.Pour batter into resealable plastic bags

3.Clip the corners of the bags and pipe batter in lines on a parchment lined half sheet pan or a 15″x 18″ cookie sheet with raised edges.

4.Bake for 8-10 minutes at 350°F. Use a small shamrock shaped cookie cutter to cut out cake “cookies.”

5. prepare a chocolate cake mix (according to package instructions)

6.Grease and line a 10″x 5″ loaf pan with parchment paper. Pour a little bit of batter in bottom of pan.

7.Line up cookies, standing up straight and side by side on top of batter. Pour remaining batter over cookies.

8.Bake at 350°F. for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean. Let cool.

9.Prepare the buttercream frosting and add green food coloring. Mix thoroughly.

10.Frost the cooled cake and add sprinkles. (If you want)
