CARTERVILLE – Coming off a number one placement at the Salem Thanksgiving Tournament, the Lady Lions faced a 3-1 Massac County team at home November 30th, and took home a win, 59-46.

The ladies started off hot in the first quarter outscoring the Patriots 17-9, and kept it going in the second quarter, taking a lead into the half, 32-24.

What stared as a close game was put out of reach thanks to the efforts of senior guard Alecia Doyle. Doyle gave the Carterville girls an extra boost by surpassing the 1000-point Milestone. With the extra motivation, the Lady Lions were able to start to pull away after the third, leading 49-33, and were able to finish off Massac 59-46.

Carterville had 3 girls put double digits for the night, Amayah Doyle (20), Kasha Ward (19), and Alecia Doyle (15).
