CARTERVILLE- Lacie Carr tossed a shutout game, leading the Lions to a 2-0 victory over No. 2 ranked Tolono Unity.

Neither defense allowed a run until the 4th inning where Kennedy Rushing got a double, giving the Lions a chance to score. The Lady Lions capitalized on the runner on second with another hit by Rosenbery that drove in the only run in the fourth.

The 5th inning was filled with defensive play after defensive play, ending with another scoreless inning.

The 6th inning was similar to the 4th where the Lion offense took its momentum from the defense. The Lions did this by another Rushing double paired with a two-bagger from Carr.

The Lions were able to close the game out by allowing no runs in the top of the 7th.
