CARTERVILLE- The Carterville Girls Golf team finished third last night, August 26, at Crab Orchard Golf Course. The girls shot a 268, but were bested by Marion and the winning team Massac who shot a 175 and 167, respectively. 

Carterville’s top performer, Olivia Hunter, shot a 58 through 9 holes today. 

“Improving will be a process, but if we all work at lowering our scores, I believe we can be successful,” said Hunter when asked about how she feels her and the team can improve throughout the season. 

She and her teammates will tee off against Harrisburg September 2nd, at 4:00 pm.
