The 2026 CHS Spring Carnival was a big success. Students from the Tri-C Elementary School came over to the high school to celebrate spring, kicking it off with the carnival. Many clubs came together into the Competition Gym and put together games, or even just telling the Tri-C Students what their club is all about and what they do for the club. “I helped with educators rising and I helped because I want to become a teacher,” senior Mallory Spannagel said.
Most of the elementary students were excited about the candy, but they also had fun playing the games that the clubs had. The CHS Publications class had put the cap on the camera for the students.
The preparation for the spring carnival was very hectic in most clubs and organizations. It was mostly due to the fact that every club that signed up to have a space for the carnival had to brainstorm a unique idea. “I helped to with FBLA at the spring carnival, running the toilet bowl toss. I decided to help because it seemed like a fun way to be involved and support the club. it was really fun. and the kids were adorable!” Junior Liesel Balmforth said.
The carnival was all throughout the day, so it was separated into four groups for each grade: Kindergarten-3rd grade. This gave the club members who signed up to help with their stand at the carnival about 10 minutes in between each group of students. During breaks, the student club members who volunteered got to have fun playing their own games, or going up to other stands playing games that they had seen while hosting their own tables. “I helped with Spanish world language club, and I really just wanted to help and interact with all of the kids,” sophomore Kinlee Liddell said.
