Adriana Bird, a well respected team member on the Carterville Girls Bowling Team, has been supported by her father, Lee Kirchner, who is also the bowling coach for both girls and boys Carterville bowling teams. She has accomplished the title of first place individual for non-qualifying teams during Regionals on Saturday, February 3, 2024.

Her experiences with bowling has made her a stronger and very efficient person. Adriana knows how to cheer up her whole group at every event. Her favorite jokes to say are yelling “Mike” or “Stella ” and she likes to make jokes about us missing pins, especially during spares or splits.

After a long match with Massac or even a long practice with boys bowling members junior Evan Flath and junior David Lutchka yelling, she always found her peace and joy from going out to eat. Very specifically Mexican restaurants, Tequilas is her favorite place to go and eat. Tequilas make Adriana feel “better about life” when she gets her chips and cheese, and chicken on the beach (Pollo Loco).

Adriana’s childhood is when she started her long and successful journey with bowling with her dad. She had a liking for bowling before she could even fully walk. Her performance on the lanes shows her love for bowling, and there are many times that she has gotten frustrated or aggravated at a match or invitational, or even regionals and sectionals, but Adriana is a very persistent person when it comes to getting out of a bad mood.

The pride and joy that she has in her team is presented through the way that she almost always cheers her teammates up and Adriana said “Cheering up each other on the team is one of the greatest feeling, especially when we can all enjoy our time together.”

After a long bowling match, it makes the loss good and the win better whenever a player can count on your team and coach.

Some of Adriana’s favorite things to do in her free time is to spend time with her dog and run around with him. His name is Zues, and he is a very highly energetic puppy. She loves to color and use her bead paintings to relax after a long day. She also spends a lot of time with her family and creates an amazing environment wherever she is.
