CARTERVILLE – The Lady Lions soccer team took on the Carbondale Terriers last night but did not come out on top, dropping the home match 3-0.

The game started off in the Terrier’s possession, and went back and forth for most of the first half. Audri Strothmann (Sr.) had many shots on goal but none were successful.

At the 39th minute, Strothmann made a break but it was to no avail and they ended the half tied at 0-0.

The Lions started off slow in the second half, but the Terriers kept the pressure on the Lions for the remainder of the game.

The Terriers made a break early in the second half, Sydney Stuck (Sr.) saved their first kick but it wasn’t enough as they dinged it back in. That happened again at the 44th minute mark making it 2-0 in favor of the Terriers.

Carbondale finished it off with another goal in the 88th minute and the Lions could not catch up.

The Lions will play again on 4/26 at Harrisburg. If you wish to keep up with the Lions soccer team or any other spring sports check us out @CartervilleAth.
