The Carterville Boys golf team beat Pinckneyville at Crab Orchard Golf Club on Monday, September 27. They took down the Panthers with a score of 172 to 181.

Carterville’s top scorer, Spencer Brown, shot a 36 through 9 holes. Following Brown was Connor Dixon with a 44. Rounding out the top four finishers were Hunter Ridgeway and Hudson Chapman with a pair if 46s.

“I think this is a momentum we needed heading into regionals,” said Maddox Crain when asked about his thoughts on the match.

He and the rest of the Lions will tee off on Wednesday, September 29th, at the IHSA Regional in Mt. Vernon.
