Lions Lose to Wildcats

CARTERVILLE – In a relocated home game to SIU, Carterville dropped a non-conference game to Anna-Jonesboro, 12-3.

The Wildcats swung the bat well and were the recipients of 6 walks and three hit batters.

The game started off with both teams being hot scoring 3 runs a piece in the first inning, but it would be the Lions to cool off first and let the game slip away.

“We simply didn’t come out ready to compete today, and it showed. A-J is not a team you can look past, and they showed it,” said head coach Reid Cure.
