Sweet Redemption: Lions Secure 5-2 Victory After Tiger Setback

CARTERVILLE- A big second inning propelled the Lions to wrap up Conference with 5-2 win over Herrin.

Down 1-0 at the top of the second, the Lions responded with two singles from Junior Drake Capie, driving in Senior Logan Ingle, and Senior Tyler Jack, running in Capie. Later, both Freshman Hayden Lange and Sophomore Camden Wright scored on a wild pitch, ultimately bringing the score to 4-1.

The Lions’ momentum continues into the bottom of the third when Drape Capie triples a line drive to center, running in Senior Parker Poole, and bringing the final score to 5-2.
