Carterville Defeats Harrisburg

On April 22, the Carterville Lions faced off against the Harrisburg Bulldogs, securing a 6-0 win. The Lions classified a strong offensive performance that exemplified their impressive victory.

The Lions started strong; Taryn Ford brought Colbie Bennett in with an RBI, putting the team up 1-0 after the 1st. Defensively, Cadence Phillips brought in 3 strikeouts in the second, gaining early momentum.

In the 5th inning, the action returned. Hits from Audrina Sloan and Colbie Bennett started off the hitting and racked up another score. A double from Kendall McCalla and a single from Caidence Phillips brought in two additional runs, putting the Lions up 4-0. Taryn Ford and Sophie Badiu finalized the Lions’ scoring and ended the inning up 6-0, highlighting the final score.
