Almost every week, book series are sent and released to bookstores around the world for people to read. One of those series is called “The Inheritance Games.” The series is made up of six books in total three of which are considered stand alone books in the series.
The newest book came out on November twelfth this year. The newest book, “Games Untold,” is made up of different stories that all fit within the same timeline. Each story features a different storyline with new and recurring characters.
Some of the most recurring characters in the series make another debut in “Games Untold” with Jameson Hawthorne and Avery Grambs (the main protagonist in the original trilogy) must uncover a secret that could potentially change their lives. When the oldest Hawthorne brother, Nash, and Avery’s goth sister Libby form an unlikely connection it’s up to them to rise above the challenges and put their relationship to the test.
Finally, the four Hawthorne brothers have always had a competitive relationship with each other. But when their lives have become plagued with yet another riddle to solve they learn to work together and strengthen the family bond they have with each other to solve a big mystery with lots of puzzles and games hidden in the middle.
All of these stories set the perfect mood of suspense, mystery and romance at all of the right places. With the rising popularity of the book series many students have shown their love for the series. Freshman Ruthie Hornik said, “It was such a highly anticipated book without a doubt and it did not disappoint at all.”
There have been many great reviews by not just the students of CHS but by the general public as well. With book reviewer Heidi Dischler saying “overall, there were a lot of fun stories in “Games Untold!” I am now eagerly awaiting for “Glorious Rivals” hoping that there is going to be just as much fun in the novel as there was in this one. “Games Untold” hasn’t been out long but it has quickly captured the hearts of the “Inheritance Games” fans that eagerly await each new book that comes out.”
“I am definitely a new fan of the series but every book has an amazing plot and a really good puzzle to solve. It was so easy to get invested in the book.” said freshman Charlie Ogan.
While there will always be new fans of the series, older fans of the books have expressed their happiness that there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight for the series. With sophomore Paige Hefferman said, “ I have loved the series for a long time since it came out, and I always get excited to hear that a new book is coming out which is how I felt about the release of “Games Untold.”
If it hadn’t been proven before, it is now that there is a massive crowd of fans that continued to show support to the series by leaving tons of positive reviews about the book. While the world waits for the next book, many will still be reading “Games Untold” proving that even though a book is no longer new, it is still a really good book.
