Bandy’s Pumpkin Patch was open from Sept. 21- October 30, which gave families a lot of opportunities to have a great time together.

There are so many fun things to do with your family. You can go through the corn maze, ride a hayride, enjoy the playbarn, and so much more. Many people have reported that they have a great time with their families, “My favorite part is probably the hayrides. I like to go to Bandy’s and they have a short hayride that you can go through, and everything looks really pretty and calming” freshman Jovie Erwin.

My family and I had such an amazing experience. After getting there, we went to the playbarn. My siblings and I went to play connect-four; however, after a while, I started beating them in the game. Then my little sister and I went to a place with blocks to build things. We started building with the big blocks that they had and we made her a chair for her to sit in.

My favorite part of the pumpkin patch is the corn maze. To start off, you are given a paper and it has six numbers on it. You then have to go around the corn maze and find these numbers that are hidden in different places (give an example of a place where one was found)  and when you find them you hole punch it with whatever shape is there, however, all the places have different shapes so the workers can tell you were not trying to cheat and creates an adventure. The thing that I liked most about the corn maze is that when we thought we found a new number to hole punch, we found the same one two or three times before we found the next one. We seemed to have kept going in circles, which seems about right for a corn maze, a’mazing’ (maze joke) am I right?

Even though it was challenging it was still a really great time and we all had fun. I really liked when my little brother was the “leader” and we were all following him, even though we went in circles five different times. When we went to try and find number one so we could hole punch it, we found number six first, then three, five, one, and two, so we basically just kept going backwards from following it in order. Then my little brother was trying to hide in the corn and for a second he did actually hide because we couldn’t find him. Then he tried to scare us which scared my little sister and caused a little bit of a scene for my family.

However, I believe that two was the hardest to find, even though it should not have  been, because it was really close to the first one. After we got out of the maze, we turned in the paper that we hole punched, and we got a pin that had the design of the corn maze symbolizing we had gone through the maze and found everything we needed to.

Overall, if you want somewhere to go have fun and make memories with your family then go to a pumpkin patch because there are lots of great things to do for all ages, pumpkin patches are a great place to get together with friends and family.
