Boys Soccer Take down Centralia

Boys soccer came out hot last night scoring there first goal three minutes into the game. Atticus Applebee weaved through the Centralia defenders and past the goalie for the first goal for his many to come. Last nights defense came up big with Senior Goalie Camden Ward having four saves in total and forcing many defenders to miss on penalty kicks and when trying to score on him. Atticus second goal was a well struck ball that got by the goalie to put the team up 2-0 with twenty three minutes and twenty six seconds left. Atticus did not have to wait to longĀ  for his chance at a hat trick when he scored another goal one minute and seven seconds after his last goal. The score was 3-0 at halftime putting Carterville at a very comfortable lead for the next half to come. Though Carterville was locking down on defense Centralia scored on a penalty kick making the score 3-1. After that goal by Centralia Cartervilles defense started to stop everything coming its way. Camden Ward stopped another penalty kick and many more shots keeping there lead up by two. After a long hard fought second half Carterville beat Centralia 3-1 boosting their record to 5-4-2.
