Carterville – On May 1st the Carterville Lady Lions faced off with the Edwards County Lions, and CHS came out with a 2-0 win.
Sophomore Taryn Ford was tremendous in the circle. She struck out ten batters in four innings with just one walk. Caydence Phillips came in relief and pitched the last three innings striking out four Edwards County hitters.
In the bottom of the 1st inning, the Lions struck first with a Kennedy Rushing single. Carterville got their second run on a Karson Caudill Sacrifice fly.
