CARTERVILLE- The Lady Lions soccer team defeated the Pinckneyville Panthers 7-0 Tuesday night. This game marked a large conference win for Carterville, keeping them near the top of the River-to-River Conference standings with a 4-0-1 record.
The Lions came out strong in the first half, gaining a 5-0 lead before the first break, and netting their first 3 goals of the game in only 10 minutes.
Offensively the Lions excelled, with Lillian Leadingham and Hillary Siemer netting a pair of goals each. Guadalupe Sebastian and Lyla Seaman both scored as well. Defensively they did just as well. The Lion’s goalie Kylie Filson, stopped every one of the Panther’s attempts to score.
