CARTERVILLE— The Lions’ baseball team fell to the Vienna Eagles Thursday afternoon, 2-1.
Lions’ defense was not successful in keeping the Eagles at bay early on, as the score was 2-0 until the bottom of the 5th when one of the Lions drove in the team’s first run of the game.
In the bottom of the 6th, the Lions had their chance to scratch a run across the board with the bases loaded and two outs. The boys were unable to get the crucial hit and swing the momentum in their favor, leaving the game at 2-1.
