CARTERVILLE – The Lions wrestling team hosted Pinckneyville and Herrin in a Senior night triangular on Tuesday. They took both wins, 66-18 against the Panthers and 64-17 against the Tigers. 

The Lions started the night off against the Panthers, they took a quick advantage as many weight classes took forfights. 

The Panthers could not recover from such a deficit, but the Lions continued to push. Carter Jones and Zech Miller took notable wins that furthered the Lions’ lead. 

The Lions took on the Tigers for the last match of the night and they once again took a quick advantage due to many forfights. 

Senior Merrick Orendoff took a notable win by points.
