CARTERVILLE- The Lions Wrestling team kicked off their season at home last night with a big win against Carmi-White County. The Lions won 58-30.
Senior, Merrick Orendoff, started off the match by beating his opponent with a technical fault. He was able to set a winning precedent for the rest of the night.
Carter Jones, Jake Grob, and Terry Mick all followed by pinning their opponents and accomplishing a solid lead early in the match. After a break in the winning streak allowing Carmi to score 6 points off a pin, Zech Miller, Landyn Flood, Braden Burke, and Ramiro Sebastian all went on to win by pins.
