CARTERVILLE- Lions Volleyball shut down the Marion Wildcats in their match Monday night. The first set ended with a score of (25-12) and the second ended with (25-16).
Gracie Ragan started the rally for the Lions in the 1st set with a serving rally and an ace. The lions continued to pound the Wildcats with hits and kills from Emma Rogers.
“I knew that it was a big rivalry and in the past, Marion has been so competitive, so I had to get my mind in a winning state. I knew if all of us could collectively be on the same page we would win. My team is unstoppable when we are all 100%,” said Emma Rodgers on her mentality going into the game.
The second set continued the same pattern, with the Lions continuing their offensive rampage.
The Lions continue their season Thursday at Benton. For more updates on all Carterville sports check out @CartervilleAth on Instagram and Twitter.
