CARBONDALE – Lions volleyball took a hard loss Thursday night against the Carbondale Terriers. The Lions lost in two sets, 21-25 and 20-25.
The first set started close, with the score remaining within two in a back-and-forth match. The Terriers stepped on the gas after an error by the Lions and never looked back. They started a rally that lasted the rest of the first set and then into the second.
Hannah Dueker, Haley Dueker, and Emma Rogers stood out, all leading in points for the night.
Although the Lions lost, the ladies were still very supportive of each other.
When asked about the team’s chemistry, Hannah Dueker said “I feel like we have all gotten a lot closer. Having Practices every day together has helped us come together as a team. I feel like we mesh well together and play together well.”
The Lions continue their season this Saturday at home in the SIRR Preview Tournament. For more volleyball and sports updates follow @Cartervilleath on Instagram and Twitter.
