CARTERVILLE – The Lions took a tough loss last night to the Harrisburg Bulldogs with a score of 6-4. This leaves the Lions overall record at 14-10 and 4-4 in the conference.

The Lions put up a strong fight against the very talented Bulldogs, who now have an overall record of 25-2.

Brady Phillips started on the mound for the Lions. He had a good run and was then relieved by Cade Bolin, followed by Peyton Bittle.

The Lions had a strong hitting performance at the beginning of the game.  A big triple by senior Cade Bolin gave the Lions momentum heading towards the latter half of the game.

The Lions had a 4-2 lead all the way to the top of the 7th inning. The Bulldogs showed their grit, plating 4 runs and taking the lead 6-4 in their last at-bat.

The Lions continue their season tonight against the Benton Rangers. They will play at 4:30 at home on Friday, May 5, and will head to Waterloo this Saturday at 12 pm.
