CARTERVILLE – The Lions had a strong offensive and defensive game against Waltonville, taking a 13-3 win.

Katie Keirn, coming off an ACL injury, started as pitcher for this game. The game started off hot with a Waltonville homerun making it 2-0 . However the Lions retaliated, scoring a run ending the inning 2-1. 

In the second inning The Lady Lions started off hot on defense not allowing any runs. They took that momentum from the top to the bottom of the inning by scoring 6 more runs. This allowed the ladies to go into the 3rd with a 7-2 lead. 

The Lion’s bats were hot continuing into the 3rd inning, with 6 more runs crossing the plate, making it now 13-2. 

In the 4th and 5th inning, Waltonville was unable to score more than one, making it 13-3. The game ended after 5th due to the 10 run rule.

The ladies play on March 29 in Johnson City at 4:30.
