MOUNT VERNON – The Carterville Boys Golf Team finished 6th in the IHSA Regional Golf match yesterday in Mount Vernon. After 18 holes, the Lions tallied a team score of 348. The team was led by Junior golfers Spencer Brown and Jackson Burke who both shot 84. Brown and Burke will both advance to the Sectional Golf match. Both men are ready for the challenge. 

Burke shared his thoughts on how he will prepare for the Sectional. “Honestly, I’m not going to change much. Maybe tweak a few things here and there but mostly stick to what’s got me through the year.” 

Both Burke and Brown will hope for amazing outings at the Sectional.
