CARTERVILLE – The Carterville boys golf team took 2nd place at Crab Orchard Golf Course last night. They lost to Benton 143-178 but were able to edge out Vienna who shot 199 as a team.

Carterville’s top scorer, Spencer Brown, shot a 43 through 9 holes.

“I need to work on straightening out my shots and I should be set,” said Brown when commenting on how he’s focusing on improvements moving forward.

He and the Lions will head to Marion today, August 26, for a tee-time at 4:00 PM.
