CARTERVILLE-  The Lady Lions Soccer team hosted Kelly High School from Benton, Mo., and closed out the night with a 9-0 win on Monday, May 10. 

The Lions started off the match against Kelley High School from Benton, Mo., strong with the first possession and three goals within the first 10 minutes of the game. Madison Shaw (Fr.) made the kick with an assist from Hannah Tran (Jr.) to the bottom left of the net at minute 38:44. Following was another goal at 36:32 from Hillary Seimer (So.) with an assist from Shaw to the bottom left of the net at minute 34:08, bringing the score to 3-0. 

The Lions kept their energy high throughout the game with another goal at minute 26:44 to the bottom left of the net from Seimer. In the second half, the Lions took a larger lead making the score 6-0 by a goal from Audri Strothmann (Sr.) with an assist from Shaw. Goal number five from Sydne Congiardo (So.)  came with an assist from Seimer. All of these happened within five minutes of the second half. 

The 7th goal for the Lions came off the foot of Rylee Davis (Jr.) to the bottom right of the net with an assist from Strothmann at minute 15:52. The 8th goal of the game was unassisted from Seimer to the bottom right of the net. To finish out the 9-0 lead, the Lions netted an unassisted goal from Paiton Petro (So.) to close out the game.
