CARTERVILLE – The Lady Lions soccer team had a tough loss to the Marion Wildcats 4-1. 

To start off the game, the Lions had first possession and both teams were fighting for a goal in the first 20 minutes. Marion got their first goal past goalie Sydney Stuck (Sr.) in the bottom right of the net at minute 21:54. 

The second goal to the bottom left of the net was scored by number 13 for the Cats which ended the first half and put the Cats in a 2-0 lead. 

Starting off the second half, the 3rd goal for the Wildcats was scored by number 12 right down the middle right past Stuck (Sr.) at minute 33:24. 

The fourth goal of the game, and the Lions’ first, was scored by Audri Strothmann (Sr.) to the bottom right of the net at minute 17:44.

The final goal that finished off the game and had the Wildcats in a 4-1 lead was at minute 1:53.
