Welcome to the Carnival

The most exciting week of the fall semester took place this past week at Carterville High School. The homecoming week has been a student favorite for many years now. This year’s theme was Carnival and multiple students chose to participate in the daily themes, which include  favorite animal day, twin day, class theme day, Vine/meme day, and Carterville spirit day.

The pep rally was the highlight of the week as the whole school came together to compete in different activities and games. The activities varied from a relay race between classes, a lip sync battle, musical chairs, and many more exciting games.

When asked what his favorite part of homecoming week was, Haden Vaughn replied, “I didn’t know Bogey could get any cuter until I saw him in a dress,” referring to the makeover and fashion show Ian Bogard and a few other varsity football players put on for their classmates during the pep rally.

Averi Vanderzille agreed that her favorite part of the week was the pep rally. The volleyball team chose to participate in a fun dance battle which she said was “her favorite thing she has done this year.”

Although it is sad to see the week go by so fast, Carterville High School students will always remember the memories made this fall homecoming season.
