Welcome to CHS CHATS! This chat is about the high school’s favorite librarian, Mrs. Siefert, and an insider on what’s new in our school library. There are many new books in the library that Mrs. Siefert recommends.

One book that is popular among students is the The Hamilton Affair by Elizabeth Cobbs. As many can guess, this book is popular due to the broadway musical Hamilton composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda. This novel is historical fiction and gives readers an insight on Alexander Hamilton’s affair that shook America. Mrs. Siefert suggests that you should read this if you are interested in history. Or if you just like a great story line!

Another top pick from Mrs. Siefert is When We Collided by Emery Lord. This novel consists of unlikely lovers that are broken and find hope in each other through difficult twists and turns. This atypical love story is for readers who like to have an emotional connection to the characters in the novel and  for those who like a good romance novel.

While Mrs. Siefert is a fan of many authors, one of her favorites is James Patterson. One of his books she enjoys is Suzanne’s Diary for Nicholas. This book is a romance that consists of detailed diary entries that many enjoy. Siefert loves his novels because they are easy reads and also have great story lines. If you are interested in finding any new or good books then don’t be afraid to visit Mrs. Siefert in the CHS library!
